About Me
Hi, I’m Heather—interior designer, homemaker, and the heart behind The Homemaker’s Design.
For the past five years, I’ve been a full-time stay-at-home mom, raising two beautiful little ones and creating a home filled with peace, personality, and purpose. Before that? Let’s just say I’ve tried many things—interpreting, painting, and yes, even a very brief thought of chemical engineering. But it was in motherhood and homemaking that I found my real calling: turning everyday spaces into intentional sanctuaries.
I started The Homemaker’s Design because I believe home should be the most peaceful place on earth. A well-designed room does more than look good—it makes you want to slow down, stay in, and savor life. Whether it’s the quiet beauty of a cozy kitchen or the joyful chaos of a kid-friendly living room, your home should work for you and bring you comfort in every season.
To back up my passion with professional skills, I became a certified interior designer through the Designer Society of America (R.I.D.E.). I specialize in modern farmhouse with touches of organic warmth, creating spaces that feel clean, calm, and lived-in—all without losing that fresh, pulled-together look.
Around here, you’ll find design inspiration, seasonal refreshes, room makeovers, and real-life decorating tips for people like you.
Oh, and a few fun facts about me:
I’m obsessed with sage green. If I could paint the sky with it, I probably would.
If I start a book, I must finish it as soon as possible.
I have an intense fascination with ducks. Don’t ask why—just know they bring me joy.
Whether you're here for a few tips, a full-room glow-up, or just to soak in some cozy design vibes, I’m so glad you stopped by.
Welcome to The Homemaker’s Design. Let’s create a space you love to live in.
